Xbox Cloud Gaming is no longer exclusive to Game Pass games. It’s possible to stream a selection of Xbox games you own on any device, but a Game Pass Ultimate subscription is still required.
This feature has been waiting for years, Xbox is finally announcing it Xbox Cloud Gaming compatibility with games purchased by the player. So far only the titles Game Pass can be streamed. Now select titles in our library will become eligible for cloud playback from any supported device.
To benefit from this, players must always be subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate, even to stream a game outside of the Game Pass catalog for which the license was purchased. At the moment, the feature is active on some Samsung smart TVs, turned on Amazon Fire TV deviceon Meta Quest headsets as well as in the browser for smartphones, computers and tablets. It will arrive on Xbox consoles in 2025 as well as the Xbox app for Windows.
Games compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming
Ahead of launch, 50 non-Game Pass games become compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming, including heavyweights like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy or Baldur’s Gate 3. The selection will expand over the months, Xbox says. Here is the list of titles affected:

- Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake

- Life is Strange: Double Exposure
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2
Streaming your Xbox games is available in all countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming is available, including France. From your browser, simply go to the address https://xbox.com/play and log in with an account with an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription to launch the game. You need to go through the Xbox app on Samsung Smart TV, Fire TV and VR headset.
