In the first half of 2025, Dell will offer Dell APEX File Storage for Microsoft Azure, a Dell-managed option for businesses looking for simplified deployment and management, as well as Dell APEX Protection Services for Microsoft Azure, which will provide Dell-managed data protection AI-driven cloud data and cyber resilience.
Dell APEX File Storage for Microsoft Azure will be available in Public Preview from the first half of 2025. Customers will be able to meet the needs of AI workloads in multi-cloud environments with the performance, scalability and data services offered by Dell PowerScale (enterprise file storage and NAS).
Dell explains that the service offers the following benefits:
- Power capacity (bursting capacity) for high-performance AI workloads with “architecture designed to provide superior performance density and scalability“.
- Less complicated driving thanks to “seamless data mobility and operational consistency between on-premises and cloud environments“.
- Reducing the time it takes to get data-driven insights through “native integration of Microsoft artificial intelligence tools.“

Cloud data protection and cyber resilience
Dell APEX Protection Services for Microsoft Azure will bring AI-driven cloud data protection and Dell-managed cyber resilience to edge locations, remote branch offices and data centers from the first half of 2025. Organizations will be able to build resilience with a zero-trust security model that includes immutability, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and role- and responsibility-based access control. They will protect against ransomware and cyber threats with recovery options for both traditional and modern workloads. Finally, disaster recovery will be accelerated with CyberSense solutions with artificial intelligence, enabling “reduce recovery time by 80%“, according to Dell.
