Latest versionHyperOS Xiaomi’s own Android operating system includes six sets of cool wallpapers and recently added “Moon” to the collection. These amazing wallpapers can be applied to your home screen or home screen and lock screen for an even more immersive experience.
Which Android devices are compatible with super wallpapers?
Although Super Wallpapers are exclusively for select Xiaomi smartphones, the flexibility of Android allows users to install them on other Xiaomi phone models without Super Wallpapers in the box and on third-party devices via APK installation.
With APK, Super Wallpapers can work on most Android smartphones running Android 8.1 Oreo or later, which means they are compatible with a wide range of models. However, compatibility has been affected on newer phones because APK files are 32-bit, not compatible with phones that use 64-bit apps exclusively (eg Pixel phones and most Samsung phones released in 2024).
Despite this, Xiaomi’s own wallpapers remain compatible with other older and popular Android brands such as OnePlus thanks to the legacy 32-bit app.

How to download Super Wallpapers APK
Before changing the look of your device with Super Wallpapers, you need to download Super Wallpapers APK. We recommend using APK Mirror to download the latest version to access the latest versions of Super Wallpapers.
Note that you may need to enable “Install from unknown sources” on your device to complete the APK installation.
Several updated Super Wallpaper APKs are available for download, including Earth, Mars, Saturn, Moon and Snowy Mountain. But they are recommended for Xiaomi devices without pre-made super wallpapers and some Android phones. Otherwise, if that doesn’t work for you, you can use the Super Wallpapers APK mods that come from Linuxct.
How to apply Super wallpapers via Google Wallpaper
Once the APK files are downloaded and installed, you can set Super Wallpaper as wallpaper directly from your smartphone settings, just like a regular wallpaper. Please note that not all Android skins support this. I personally tested it on a OnePlus 10 Pro running OxygenOS 12.1 and had to go through Google Wallpapers.
Apply Super wallpapers to your Xiaomi smartphone
If you have a Xiaomi device that supports Super Wallpaper or it has been installed manually, the steps to use or change Super Wallpaper are done through the official Wallpaper app.
- Unlock your smartphone
- Go to Settings > Wallpapers and personalization
- Scroll down to Great wallpapers and press it
- You can also open the editor by long-pressing an empty area on the home screen
- Go to wallpapers then until Great wallpapers
- Select great wallpaper apply
- Press the button Use confirm
Apply cool wallpapers to your non-Xiaomi Android smartphone
If your smartphone does not allow you to directly configure Super Wallpaper Xiaomi, you will have to use an application Google wallpapers which can be downloaded for free.
- Start Google wallpapers
- Scroll down and tap Live wallpapers
- Select Great wallpapers according to your choice
- Press Define apply
Note that using Xiaomi Super Wallpapers through Google Wallpapers allows you to choose from multiple views or effects of each wallpaper category, some of which are static. You can try each effect by applying it.
How to change super wallpaper
If you want to update or change the Super Wallpaper, you can do so in your device’s wallpaper customization settings if it supports it. Otherwise, you can go back to Google Wallpapers and choose a different wallpaper. As usual, you need to install the wallpaper category you want to use before changing.
Pay attention to battery life, as this feature is quite power-hungry and can also cause slowdowns on entry-level or mid-range smartphones.
