When it comes to graphics performance on creative software, Apple is still gaining ground. If we stick to the first benchmarks made in Blender (a well-known tool for 3D modeling), the new M4 Max chip in the MacBook Pro 2024 is visibly able to beat the mobile GeForce RTX 4070 from NVIDIA, but also and most importantly to approach the performance of the mobile GeForce RTX 4080.
Note that the comparison refers on the one hand to the “simple” graphics part integrated into the latest Apple chips and on the other to the current generation of dedicated mobile graphics cards from NVIDIA. Two types of components that theoretically do not fit into the same category.
