As of November 21st, Google has integrated Gemini, its generative artificial intelligence (AI), directly into Workspace. Now available in French, this intelligent assistant has established itself as an essential tool for Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
Gemini will simplify your daily tasks
Gemini aims to help you simplify everyday tasks. And that’s thanks to using the power of AI right in your usual Google tools. No more juggling between apps! From Gmail, Gemini can summarize your unread emails and write replies in just a few clicks. In Google Docs, it synthesizes complex texts or converts your ideas into structured documents. With Google Sheets, AI helps you analyze data and can even create tables directly from text.
This new assistant also integrates seamlessly with the rest of Google Drive. For example, you can ask Gemini to write a message using information from other files stored on your Drive. All this using natural language, as if you were talking to a colleague (or almost).
Google says other languages such as German, Spanish and Japanese are also available. But you’ll have to wait a few more months for Google Slides.
A revolution for businesses, but at what cost?
Gemini is not free for businesses to use. Access costs 20 euros per user per month for the Business subscription. The price for the Enterprise subscription will be 30 euros. This add-on is an investment that Google presents as a lever for transformation.
Google ensures that company data is protected and not used to train AI. An important point to reassure professionals. Gemini can even use documents hosted on the company’s Google Drive to customize the results. For example, writing a report based on already existing studies or extracting data on business performance.
