As reported by Clara Chappaz during the European Cyber WeekSecretary of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs, applications for the call for projects “Development of critical innovative technologies – 4th edition”, launched under France 2030 and operated on behalf of the State by Bpifrance, are open until 30/2025 at 12 noon (midday ). The second deadline for some projects is scheduled for April 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
“Adoption of AI cannot be achieved without user trust in the technology, and that trust requires security. This new call for projects will be critical to facilitating and accelerating AI use cases that are currently constrained by security or data protection restrictions.” explains Clara Chappaz.
The call for projects with a budget of 25 million euros aims to support sovereign and effective technological solutions around seven main axes.
– Protection of data used in infrastructures and services that are not controlled by customers and/or that cannot be considered trustworthy.
– Protection of data shared or used by third parties, such as maintaining data confidentiality for each party involved in information gathering and sharing (fraud detection, decision making, deep learning, etc.) .
– Facilitating and accelerating AI use cases such as protecting learning data for AI during the training phase, protecting data processed by AI models (example: user prompts) or protecting AI models (integrity and confidentiality).
– Tools to support the post-quantum transition enabling the automation of cryptographic asset inventory, certificate lifecycle management tools or decision support tools, etc.
-Data Centric Security (DCS) techniques that enable the transfer of data access control with data.
-Protecting data integrity of the software production chain by innovative means
Finally, another axis is reserved for projects enabling the protection and sharing of European digital identity attributes or the protection of archives or the detection of data leakage.
